Brian Wilmer of College Hoops Digest wrapped up Big South Media Day Monday with a series of coaching interviews, including with Coach Gee.
Wilmer and Gee discussed a number of topics, including why there hasn’t been a home televised game in Willett Hall on the Big South slate since he arrived.
On not — for now, anyway — having a televised game at Willett Hall:
“I’ve played at all the teams in the league, and I think it’s the best home-court atmosphere in the league. It has been brought to my attention that, since I’ve been there, we’ve never had a (televised) home game, but that’s out of my control. I just know (that) when you win, those things happen. … It’s a unique place — passionate students, great community that loves basketball … I think the momentum is building, and that type of energy now is moving into the building to create an even better atmosphere, and we’re excited about the season.”
